Both are equally great for completing your weave

Eliminates the need to leave your own hair out and risk of heat damage

So what’s the difference?

Size is the most obvious difference, closures tend to sit in the middle of the head or on the side for a side part look. A lace frontal instead will go from ear-to-ear, which gives greater coverage, allowing you to be able to part the hair anywhere and therefore gives more flexibility in styling.

The base material – lace or silk?

Hair On Fleek closures are typically made with a lace or silk base. Our frontals come only in lace.A silk base closure can give the appearance of a natural scalp, when a parting is made in the closure, the silk gives the illusion of scalp.
On the other hand lace frontals/closures due to the material have the advantage of laying much flatter than the silk based closures and can blend better with scalp.

What’s the best way to install a closure or frontal?

Closures and frontals look best when they have been plucked to mimic your natural hairline. To get the most from a lace closure or frontal we recommend bleaching the knots prior to installation, bleaching the knots helps to reduce the netting appearance of the lace and create the shade of a natural scalp.

So which one is for me?

Ultimately the decision is dependent on the look you want to achieve and the preference of versatility you want.

Closures are most appropriate option and lower cost option for simple everyday looks for example a set side parting or middle parting. A closure is perfect for those who don’t mind maintaining the same style.

Frontal’s are good if you want greater flexibility to change and adapt your parting the way you wish.

As well as weaves both can be constructed into wigs.
